Orange splashback dart frogs are renowned for their vivid orange and black colouration, which serves as a warning to potential predators about their toxicity. These striking amphibians are native to the rainforests of South America, particularly in regions of French Guiana, Suriname, and northern Brazil. Their bright orange splash across a black or dark blue body makes them highly distinctive and sought after in the exotic pet trade. In the wild, they inhabit the leaf litter and lower canopy of tropical rainforests, where their bold colors stand out vividly against the lush green background.
Adult size: 3 - 4cm.
Life Span: 4 - 8 years.
These are NON toxic in captivity, the toxins derive from their diet in the wild.
