Chinese water dragons, Physignathus cocincinus, are vibrant and arboreal lizards native to Southeast Asia, particularly China, Thailand, and Vietnam. With sleek, elongated bodies reaching up to three feet, they showcase striking green hues, adorned with intricate patterns and a long tail. Renowned for their semi-aquatic lifestyle, these dragons are often found near water sources, adept swimmers and climbers. Displaying impressive intelligence, they are omnivores, feeding on a diverse diet of insects, small mammals, and vegetation. Popular as exotic pets, their vivariums require both water and land areas.
