Berber skinks, Eumeces schneideri, also known as Schneider's skinks, are lizard species native to North Africa and parts of the Middle East. With distinctive elongated bodies, these skinks exhibit varying shades of brown and possess smooth, shiny scales. Known for their docile temperament, they are well-suited for captivity. Berber skinks are ground-dwelling reptiles, often found in arid and rocky environments. They are proficient burrowers, seeking refuge in the substrate to escape predators and regulate body temperature. In captivity, providing a proper habitat with suitable hides and a balanced diet ensures the well-being of these fascinating and adaptable skinks.
