Red-eyed crocodile skinks, Tribolonotus gracilis, are captivating reptiles native to New Guinea. Named for their distinctive red eyes and crocodile-like scales, they boast a stunning appearance. These small lizards are semi-aquatic, often found near streams or wetlands. Sporting vibrant orange or reddish-brown hues, their bodies are adorned with intricate patterns resembling a crocodile's armor. Known for their shy nature, they thrive in well-maintained terrariums with ample humidity and a water source for swimming. Primarily insectivores, they feast on a diet of crickets, mealworms, and other invertebrates.
