Kenyan Sand Boas (Eryx colubrinus) are captivating and unique snake’s native to the arid regions of East Africa, particularly Kenya and Tanzania. These small constrictors are renowned for their distinctive appearance and manageable size, with adults typically reaching lengths of 1 to 2 feet. Kenyan Sand Boas have a stout body and a short, blunt tail, well-suited for burrowing in sandy substrates. Their coloration is typically a blend of sandy browns, yellows, and oranges, providing effective camouflage in their natural habitat. As burrowers, these snakes spend a significant amount of time underground, and they are known for their ambush-style hunting. They are generally docile and can be handled with care.
