Lampropeltis triangulum sinaloae, commonly known as the Sinaloan milk snake, is a nonvenomous colubrid snake native to Mexico, particularly in the states of Sonora, Sinaloa, and Chihuahua. Recognised for its striking colouration, this milk snake has alternating bands of red, black, and white or yellow, which mimic the venomous coral snake as a form of Batesian mimicry, deterring predators. It typically grows to around 3–4 feet in length and thrives in a variety of habitats, including semi-desert and rocky areas. Sinaloan milk snakes are popular in the pet trade due to their docile nature.
