The White's tree frog, Litoria caerulea is an iconic amphibian with a broad distribution across Northern and Eastern Australia, New Guinea, and the surrounding islands. Taxonomically, it belongs to the Hylidae family and possesses distinctive characteristics like a plump body, vibrant green coloration, and large toe pads. In the wild, these nocturnal creatures inhabit trees and are adept at both terrestrial and arboreal lifestyles. In captivity, White's tree frogs have gained popularity due to their hardiness, calm demeanor, and ease of care. They thrive in captivity when provided with a well-maintained enclosure featuring proper humidity levels and a varied diet. Their popularity as pets also stems from their fascinating behaviors, including their ability to change color based on environmental condition.

 

Adult Size: 7 - 12cm (Females are usually bigger than males.)
