Golden sun skinks (Eutropis longicaudata) are medium-sized lizards found in Southeast Asia, including regions of Thailand, Malaysia, and the Philippines. These skinks are characterised by their glossy, bronze-coloured bodies, which give them a distinctive golden sheen. They are diurnal and prefer warm, sunny environments such as forest edges, gardens, and open fields. Golden sun skinks are omnivorous, feeding on insects, small invertebrates, fruits, and occasionally plant material. Known for their agility, they can quickly dart into hiding when threatened.
