The cat-eyed gecko, scientifically known as Aeluroscalabotes felinus, is a captivating reptile native to Southeast Asia. Characterized by its large, striking eyes resembling those of a cat, this arboreal species inhabits lush tropical forests. Its slender body, typically measuring around 6-8 inches in length, boasts intricate patterns that aid in camouflage among foliage. Primarily nocturnal, the cat-eyed gecko hunts insects and small invertebrates under the cover of darkness. Despite its relatively small size, it possesses adhesive toe pads that enable agile climbing on vertical surfaces.
