The emerald tree skink (Lamprolepis smaragdina) is a strikingly green, arboreal lizard native to Southeast Asia and the Pacific islands. Known for its vibrant emerald-green colouration, it may also display shades of blue or bronze, particularly on its underbelly or tail. Growing up to 30 cm in length, this skink is highly agile, spending most of its time in trees where it hunts for insects, small invertebrates, and occasionally fruits. It has a slender body and long limbs, well-suited for climbing. Emerald tree skinks are social, often seen in groups.
