The Pueblan milk snake (Lampropeltis triangulum campbelli) is a colorful, non-venomous snake native to the arid, semi-arid regions of southern Mexico, especially Puebla, Morelos, and Oaxaca. It displays vibrant bands of red, black, and white or yellow, which mimic the appearance of venomous coral snakes—a form of Batesian mimicry that helps deter predators. Pueblan milk snakes are known for their docile temperament, making them popular pets among reptile enthusiasts.
