Rosy Boas are small, docile snakes native to the southwestern United States and northwestern Mexico. They are renowned for their calm temperament, making them an excellent choice for beginner reptile enthusiasts. Rosy boas are named for their characteristic rosy or pinkish hue, often accompanied by bold longitudinal stripes in colours such as orange, brown, or grey, which help them blend into their rocky desert habitats. These non-venomous constrictors typically grow to about 2-3 feet in length however can reach 4 feet. They are relatively low-maintenance, thriving on a diet of appropriately sized rodents.
